Support The O'Jays Scholarship Fund 2011
The original group included Eddie Levert, Walter Williams, William Powell, Bobby Massey and Bill Isles. They began their singing career while they were students at McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio. The group’s membership changed over the years. Eddie and Walter persevered. With hard work and belief in their dreams, they made it all the way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are truly one of Canton’s most amazing and inspiring success stories.
The O’Jays return home every year to Canton/Stark County to Inspire and Motivate Students.
Now the current O’Jays, Eddie Levert, Walter Williams and Eric Nolan Grant, want to “give something back” to the community where Eddie and Walter and the other original O’Jays began their singing career while they were students.
They want to help inspire and motivate Stark County’s students of today.
They want to provide financial assistance to students to help them to get a good education, pursue their dreams and achieve success in life. That’s why they established The O’Jays Scholarship Fund.
The O’Jays Scholarship Fund is administered by the very reputable Stark Community Foundation(www.starkcf.org).
Given their commitment to the people of Canton and Stark County, the O’Jays will return home again for the Celebration Weekend. The O’Jays have provided their professional services Free of Charge during the O’Jays Celebration Weekend so all proceeds will go to the O’Jays Scholarship Fund for the benefit of Stark County students.
To help them make this happen, we need your participation and financial support. You can help support the O’Jays Scholarship Fund for Stark County Students by being a sponsor of one or more.
